BA 4110, BA 4115 and BA 4120 Aircraft Sealant Remover tools are designed to remove aircraft sealant by cutting vs. grinding. The BA 4100 Series tools are rotary cutters designed to remove sealant directly at the bond line. Cutting breaks through the bond line quickly, removing larger pieces with each tool rotation and resulting in less debris for cleanup at half the typical current removal time.
These tools are made with a specialized high strength Torlon® that does not shatter or break. All three cutters can remove sealant in many applications at a lower product cost and with greater efficiency and productivity.
For aerospace applications, all three tools are safe to use on structural materials and common protective coatings. There are no metal parts inside the tool and no risk of structure damage.
Savings with BA 4110 Series tools can be significant when factoring in superior tool life, less removal time, and no rework costs for damaged parts.
BA 4110 is a one-inch nominal diameter cutter designed for general purpose sealant removal. BA 4115 and BA 4120 are half-inch nominal diameter cutters designed to remove structural sealant from fasteners with high efficiency while reducing wear and tear on air tool equipment.
All three tools can attach to standard air tools (1/4”-28 UNF thread, 1/4” collet, or key/keyless chuck). Screw in or attach/lock into rotary tool. These products cut by rotating in the clockwise direction. Operate the tool at 200-400 RPM for better control while avoiding heat buildup. Sealant odor is minimized due to the low RPM.
