BA 6866 is a flexible soft tape with a natural rubber adhesive for strong adhesion to the production surface but clean removal. The tape is configured in either a coin-shape or strip-shape and mounted on a clear peel-off resin liner. Within the coin or strip, a layer of non-adhesive LDPE adds needed support when thru-drilling cured carbon fiber parts. Reduction of carbon fiber fragmentation at the drilled hole “breakout” edge is achieved.

*BA 6866 Composite Drill Breakout Tape is configured as a 2” x 2” patch with a 1” OD LDPE circle insert, or as a 2” x 8” patch with a 1” x 6” LDPE insert. Other sizes and configurations available.
