Low outgassing thermal and electrical conductive silicone elastomer

MAPSIL® QS1123 ELEC LD is a part of MAPSIL. series and is based on MAPSIL® QS1123 technology is a RTV-2 silicone adhesive elastomer dedicated to bonding applications. Due to its thermal and electrical conductivity and low outgassing properties, this adhesive elastomer finds applications in OSR (Optical Surface Reflector) bonding for space applications.

The specific formulation of MAPSIL® QS 1123 ELEC LD allows this product to be used without primer on aluminium and glass substrates.

Applications:

MAPSIL® QS1123 ELEC LD is suitable for several applications in satellite such as OSR bonding (Optical Surface Reflector). MAPSIL® QS1123 ELEC LD product is based on MAPSIL® QS1123 elastomer technology.

Due to its exposure to the space environment (Ultravacuum, thermal / electrical / mechanical stress and environments, main components of MAPSIL® QS1123 ELEC LD, MAPSIL® QS1123 resin and electrical conductive pigment were tested under specific ageing tests (according to ECSS-Q-ST-70-06C):

“Specific” space ageing tests: Damp heat, Thermal cycling (AP/nitrogen & under vacuum), γrays, UV, particles (e-, p+) exposure. 

The aim of these tests is to evaluate the resistance to the harsh environment the space orbits (LEO, GEO, MEO)
