Bron Template™ Features:
The Bron Template™ is a new Adhesive Mylar Technology that greatly improves Aerostructure assembly operations.
Digital Catia** CAD graphics are precision-printed onto the Bron Template™ film at full-scale (1 : 1) – then verified to aerospace industry “mylar” tolerances of +/- .020” over any 10” interval up to 120” x 50”. Precision tolerances of less than +/-.005” are possible within areas up to 30” x 30” square.

[themify_col grid=”3-1″]Spec-approved for use on Boeing aerostructures, assembly mechanics drill and countersink fastener holes and install rivets and bolts while the Bron Template™ is installed on the workpiece. Special assembly and installation instructions can be printed onto the Bron Template,™ providing the assembly mechanic all the necessary information to do his or her job where the work is being done. The adhesive system is specially formulated and approved for use on Boeing clad and bare aluminum surfaces, primer and TPC-coated surfaces.*
The Bron Template™ puts Zero Defects within reach. The Bron Template™ is like having the engineering blueprint on the part. Defines fastener locations as well as the size and type of fasteners to install.[/themify_col]
In 2013, zero defects were reported at a major Boeing supplier using Bron Template™ technology.
* Bron Templates™ have also be used on cured composite surfaces – spec-approval pending.
** Catia is a product of Dassault Industries and the CAD tool preferred by Boeing.
Mylar is a registered trademark of DuPont. Mylar is also a jargon term within the aerospace industry used to refer to precision hand-drawn or mechanically-produced resin films for product definition and acceptance.
